Employees, We Want to Hear Your Voice! Take the Survey!

The HCA Employee Perception Survey kicked off last Thursday, May 1, 2014! I want to encourage each of you to participate. It is no secret that our system has undergone significant changes in leadership over the past two years. Very soon we will have every position filled. I mention this to remind you of the changes and the tenure of our administrative team and to point out that this new team needs to understand the positives, challenges, frustrations, and opportunities in your work environment. This survey is a formal way to be heard and is very timely for our organization. I admit to you openly that in previous years your survey results have not received the attention and feedback that each employee deserves. Follow through on the results in 2014 and going forward is a personal commitment I and our administrative team make to you. All we ask is that you provide us a thorough survey result through a high rate of participation.

To accomplish an increased level of participation, I have sought the input of the Employee Advisory Group. They have been heard and I have challenged our team of administrators and department directors to create a plan to properly acknowledge participation. The basics of the plan are listed below, but I also encourage you to take the survey early and pay attention to future announcements during the month of May as we will offer “last-minute” drawings and prizes for all of those who have taken the survey at the time of the event!

 FREE MEAL TICKET – Take the survey and tell your supervisor/department director and you will automatically receive a free meal ticket worth $4.50 in the cafeteria! (This will be on the honor system and participation is being tracked by Department.)

 32 INCH FLAT SCREEN TV – Take the survey THIS WEEK and you will be in the drawing to win a 32 inch flat screen TV Friday! (You must tell your director you took the survey! Anyone who has completed the survey by 5pm on Thursday, May 8th and tells their Director will be put into that drawing.)

 PIZZA and PTO – Each department that gets 100% participation will win a pizza party for their department AND all employees in that department will put their name into a drawing to win a free PTO day. (Only PTO eligible employees will be able to draw for the PTO day. Smaller departments are grouped with others to make this opportunity equitable.)

 IPOD NANO, IPOD TOUCH, and IPAD MINI – Because we want every department to participate, we will also have system wide prizes for taking action and completing the survey. Each facility’s employees will have the opportunity to win prizes through a drawing based on total facility participation.
 MORE 32” FLAT SCREEN TVs – There will also be a Coliseum system wide drawing for participation to include 32” HD TV’s!
