Macon: Third Time’s a Charm!

It’s my privilege to work as CEO of Coliseum Center for Behavioral Health with the caring men and women of CCBH.  I’m excited to serve as CEO of the Middle Georgia market leader in Behavioral Health along with the strong leadership team of Coliseum Health System.  I’ve spent most of my career deploying dedicated people to resolve patients’ personal crises and put them on a road to recovery.

I’m a new blogger, but only so “new”  – I’ve been at Coliseum and HCA for 8 years.  This is my 3rd “tour” in Macon; I first came to work in Macon in 1979 at Charter Medical’s corporate office.  I returned in the late 1980s after two stints in Atlanta operating Peachford Hospital and a year in London, England as CEO of the Charter “Clinics” (private hospitals in Britain).  My bride of 37 years, Kel-Ann teaches at Wesleyan College.  In my “spare” time (in addition to the usual Honey-do’s) I do Dad duty with my 3 grown children, Granddad duty with three grandkids and four granddogs, and do my best to dodge the 5-15 outdoor cats that get fed in my driveway (the number varies according to the coyote population in Monroe County at the time!).

Jim and Kel-Ann

Macon is a great place to live and work, and it’s an honor for me to work at Coliseum: the Right Choice!

  1. I had no idea about your time in London. I’m certain it was a big difference from the US.
Now, when can we go back? I’m certain we could get a big group up and you could show us around… right??? I’ll give you time to get back to me on that one 🙂
Thanks for sharing this part of you with us.
