Coliseum Medical Centers will host the 2015 Child Safety Expo & Trick or Treat event on October 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon. This is a FREE event for kids and their families to learn valuable, life-saving information while having a great time! In addition to trick or treating through our new pediatric ER, parents and children will have an opportunity to learn safety tips on bicycles helmets, safe sleeping habits, fire safety, poison control, gun safety, and so much more. Car seat checks and Child ID kits will also be available. Children will enjoy seeing a fire truck, law enforcement vehicles, ambulances, and even an air evac helicopter. There will also be inflatables for the kids with free popcorn and cotton candy. At 11:00 a.m., all kids present will be invited to be in our child safety parade, led by Eddie Eagle.
The event will be held in the parking lot of Building B at Coliseum Medical Centers and is sponsored by the Pediatric Emergency Rooms of Coliseum Health System. Both Coliseum Medical Centers and Coliseum Northside Hospital have recently expanded their emergency room staff to include board certified pediatricians and have renovated space that is dedicated to treating Middle Georgia’s smallest patients.
