The latest model guidance shows the storm hitting our area around 11 am Monday morning and lasting approximately 16 hours. The projections are still changing and we continue to reassess and adjust our plans based on what is a very fluid and ever changing situation. Our primary concern is for your safety and security during this event.
We will activate the hospitals’ incident command centers and will initiate our Team A/Team B staffing plans at 7:00 am Monday morning. Members of Team A will be required to report to both hospitals at this time to ensure staff can arrive safely in advance of the tropical force winds that will cause roads to close. ALL staff regardless of their work area, including ER, Behavioral Health and OB staff, will need to come through the front door of the hospitals and sign in. You must be wearing your badge! Please arrive in time to park, check in and be ready to begin your assignment at 7:00 am.
Child care services will be available beginning at 6:30 am on 9/11 through the storm, until all clear and Team B is up and running. Childcare services are only to be used by A team members who have NO OTHER OPTION. In addition, both facilities will have a place for pets to be housed in a crate provided by you.
Please call the emergency preparedness phone line for updates as well. You may call this number 24/7 at 478-751-0216.
Thanks as always for the care and service you provide to our patients and the community. Thanks you for your commitment before, during and after this event; it is times like this that we show our professionalism, teamwork and value to the community we serve!
