As I write this thank you Irma has left, literally, her mark on central Georgia. We experienced lots of rain, high winds in excess of 40mph, downed trees and lots of leaks. What we saw at Coliseum Health System was great leadership, commitment to patients and caring and compassion for each other. I am so proud of the teams we have at CMC and CNH who at the worst of times roll up their sleeves and do whatever we ask to meet the needs of our patients. Many of you left families at home, slept in less than ideal conditions but smiled through it all and made the best of a storm called Irma. These times really test us a team and our commitment to our mission and you all earn an A+!
Tonight we return to normal operations and ease back into our routines. Before we forget please take the time to thank each other and the support you provided each other. As you return home you may find damage to your homes and property. Please let us know if you did so that we can connect you with any resources available through HCA. For those of lucky enough not to have any damage please consider a donation to the Hope Fund to assist your colleagues at https://www.hcahopefund.com.
On behalf of the entire health system executive team, thanks for a job well done!
