As promised, last week brought significant traffic flow changes with the construction progress. EMS vehicles were rerouted to the main entrance of Building B. We remain focused on EMS and patient safety and will be erecting additional barriers and signage, as well as designated parking spaces for EMS. There is a security guard posted 24/7 to assist our patients, visitors and staff.
Construction crews began working on the Imaging portion of the ER project and have prepared the former courtyard area for the new addition. They continue to make progress on the helipad and are constructing a detour road around the new helipad construction site that will allow for closure of the driveway directly in front of the ED. New lighted signage will be posted to redirect customers through the parking lot to Labor and Delivery. If possible, please try to help us limit traffic in this area.
The Emergency Room walk-in entrance will remain open in its current location for the time being.
We anticipate some interruption to traffic flow and appreciate your patience and your willingness to help alleviate confusion and help ease the burden on our guests. Thanks for everyone’s cooperation with parking in the Centreplex parking lot. This allows our patients and visitors easy access to our services consistent with our mission: Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.
