Hope you’ve all had a great week so far, Coliseum Northside Team!
Have you noticed our new “Pillar Boards” around the hospital? These boards are there to highlight the six pillars that drive our efforts to put our mission into action:
Please take a few minutes to look over the boards – the information will be updated periodically.
We want YOU to have BETTER access to Hospital info – on the go! If you don’t often have access to your hospital email, this should be especially helpful for you. Downloading the easy to use, free app “Bloglovin” will give you access to critical hospital info from your smart phone, anytime, anywhere. Simple instructions on installation/use HERE.
Join us Saturday, March 24 from 11AM-1PM on the lawn at Coliseum Northside Hospital for our annual Easter Egg Hunt! All CMC &CNH Employees and family are invited to attend. Free lunch is provided as well as pictures with the Easter Bunny, sack AND spoon races, face painting, egg decorating, and MUCH MORE! MUST REGISTER by March 21 to attend!
I mentioned this last week, but it’s worth repeating – Coliseum Northside will have a team participating in the Cherry Blossom Festival Bed Race. Our team consists of Alecia Bennett, Jeff Sissel, Michael Dykes, Jon Marsh, and Brandy Vann! Our team will have to construct and push their bed in the race to be held on March 17th at 1:00 p.m. I think there is also a little inter-hospital challenge going on between CNH and CMC. You won’t want to miss it!
Thank you for participating in the AHRQ Patient Safety Survey!! Our final participation rate of nearly 88 % was fantastic – exceeding our goal of 80 %. Thank you for taking the time to do this!
We are currently in the middle of our Physician Engagement Study which takes place during the month of March. Please help us remind members of our medical staff that we would appreciate their feedback.
Our ER expansion continues to make progress – steel will be coming soon and then it really starts to take shape! Looking for completion in mid-May. The Interventional Radiology lab also continues to grow in volume each month as more physicians and patients are trusting us for their care. The team is doing a great job!
I have highlighted in previous updates just how important it is for us to promote a positive image of our hospital on social media. Our marketing team does a great job of letting the community know about our hospital and our people. Did you see the recent video that highlighted Michael Dykes’ story? There were many positive reactions to this – and there will be more stories to come. I think that we all appreciate hearing the “why” behind our colleagues’ choices to be in healthcare and to be at Coliseum Northside. Stay tuned for more!
Speaking of social media, here are a few recent positive reviews from Facebook:
- “Dr. Narh-Martey is a wonderful doctor!”
- “Have had occasion to take my husband there several times. Always seen promptly and given excellent care. Thank you so much!”
- “A powerful message. Your Dad would be proud of you Michael!”
I hope you have a great weekend!
