In support of HCA Healthcare’s commitment to the care and improvement of human life, we proudly encourage the professional growth of our colleagues who wish to improve their knowledge, skills and potential for advancement through continued education. Offering education assistance is just one way we Care Together — for our patients, communities and each other.
Beginning August 15, 2018, we’re partnering with EdAssist to offer eligible employees* a new, streamlined tuition reimbursement process. You’ll also have access to education discounts and advisors who can help you along your career path with us.
What to Know:
The HCA Healthcare tuition reimbursement policy offers:
Reimbursement. Up to $5,250 in tax free tuition reimbursement each calendar year for higher education courses (tuition, books and course-related fees). To be eligible, you must be a full-time or part-time employee with at least 90 days of service.
- Easy process. A more streamlined process to apply for and receive tuition reimbursement through our new partner, EdAssist.
- Standard policy. A standardized policy that applies to most employees across the company.
- Free access to education counselors and financial advisors and discounts to more than 200 colleges and universities.
As part of the new HCA Healthcare Education Assistance program, tuition reimbursement requests will no longer be processed through the HCA hrAnswers team. Please make note of the following dates as we transition to our new partner, EdAssist, to administer tuition reimbursement requests.
Be sure to check your mail for a brochure, or log on to HCAhrAnswers.com (on or after Aug. 15), choose HCA Rewards and then select the Education Assistance icon from the homepage to learn more about the HCA Healthcare Tuition Reimbursement Policy, how to create an account with EdAssist and what you’ll need to start an application for reimbursement.
*Certain employees are not eligible to participate in these programs. This includes employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement (unless their CBA permits participation), certain employed physicians and graduate medical education residents and fellows. These employees should go to HCAhrAnswers.com and search “tuition reimbursement” to view the program that applies.
