I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and got to spend some well-deserved downtime with family and friends. My special thanks to those of you who were at Coliseum Northside that day, caring for our patients who wanted to be anywhere but here. Thank you for your dedication and hard work!
“The Coliseum Express” Christmas Parade will be held THIS Sunday, December 2nd. If you have signed up to participate, you should have received an email with additional parade info earlier today. All participants MUST be present and in line by 2:30PM, parade runs from 3-5PM. Our theme this year is “The Pediatric Express” (will look like the “Polar Express” train)!
I want to offer a “shout out” to all of the members of our team who work constantly to keep us compliant with Joint Commission and other standards as we provide the highest quality care. Our survey from the Joint Commission earlier this week went exceptionally well and it was a testament to your focused efforts. Thank you!
CNH Employee Christmas Tree Lighting: This Tuesday, December 4th, join us at 4:30PM in the main lobby of CNH to ring in the holiday season with hot cocoa, cookies, caroling, AND a visit from jolly old Saint Nick! See you there!
Many of us had a great time serving our holiday meal earlier this week. It is always a great chance to see a lot of people share some holiday cheer. I hope you were able to come – but if not, we hope to catch you a little later this month when some Christmas cookies will be delivered by some special guests!
I have seen many e-mails and web comments lately complementing our staff. Here is an excerpt of one that was from a surgery patient who raved about her care here. “We were greeted each time with smiles, and their presence was of comfort and as though we were the only ones in the surgery center. This felt more of a 5 Star Resort. . . Very impressive, and of course we have told everyone!” Thank you to our great team!
We are very happy to have recently received funding for an upgrade to the 2nd floor nurse call system and it has been a welcome improvement. The remainder of the project – to convert the ER nurse call light system to one system, is in final stages now.
For those of you who are Dawgs fans like me, I’m sure you will be focused on the big game this weekend. Good luck to UGA and particularly to some of our local favorites like Jake Fromm. Go DAWGS!!
Have a great weekend!!
